Join us for an evening of food & conversation with award winning food writer Jenny Linford, a longtime friend and customer of LA FROMAGERIE to celebrate her newest book - The Kew Gardens Salad Book. The book contains 65 salad recipes that draw on the botanical nature of the research of Kew's work promoting and conserving biodiversity - encouraging people to both eat more plants and to eat a wider range of plants. We will also be joined by Helena Dove, who runs the Kitchen Garden at Kew Gardens.

 About the Author: Jenny Linford is a London-based food writer and editor, a longstanding member of the Guild of Food Writers. She is the author and editor of over 20 books, among them The Missing Ingredient: The Curious Role of Time in Food and Flavour (2018), The Kew Gardens Cookbook (2022), The Great British Food Tour (the National Trust and HarperCollins, 2025), Repast: The Story of Food (the British Museum and Thames & Hudson, 2025)  and The Kew Gardens Salad Book (Kew Publishing). A cheese-enthusiast, she also produces and presents the popular A Slice of Cheese podcast series for Food FM radio. 

About: Helena Dove is an experienced Kitchen Gardener, currently based at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Here she manages an organically run Kitchen Garden with a wide variety of fruit and vegetables. Previously managing the historic Edwardian Kitchen Garden at Myddelton House Gardens in Enfield, she has a passion for heritage and interesting crops. She currently experiments with crops which thrive in a changing climate and is passionate about the science of vegetables and how this effects their cultivation.

Guests will be seated on communal tables.
The ticket price includes an aperitif, non alcoholic available on request. There will be a summery wine list for guest to purchase wines from on the night. Kindly note a 12.5% service charge for the entire amount will be added to your final bill on the night.

Chef will do his best to adapt the menu accordingly where possible.
Please note that we cannot process refunds after the purchase of a ticket, although you may transfer your ticket to another person if you are unable to attend after purchasing a ticket. Tickets to these events are limited.
