CHEESES

  • Blackmount | Lanarkshire, Unpasteurised Goat's Milk - 1 unit (200g) - A soft and creamy truncated pyramid goat's cheese that is aged for two to three weeks. Made by Selina Cairns in Lanarkshire.
  • Elrick Log | Lanarkshire, Unpasteurised Goat's Milk.  Selina Errington has developed this cheese along the lines of the French Charente Poitou styles with their thin rinds breaking down to become soft around the edge and fudgy in the centre.
  • Bonnington Linn | Lanarkshire, Unpasteurised Goat's Milk. (200g). A hard cheddar style raw milk goat's cheese made with traditional kid's rennet. It is matured on traditional wooden shelving for 6 months up until 2 years, wrapped in traditional muslin cheese cloth.
  • Isle of Mull Cheddar | Isle of Mull, Unpasteurised Cow's Milk (200g) - The weather plays a big part in the taste of this cheddar. Exposed to the elements of the Atlantic, the salty briny flavours are very evident, as well as the mashed barley used in the whisky-making from the local distillery.
  • Lanark Blue | Lanarkshire, Unpasteurised Sheep's Milk (200g) - Humphrey Errington’s powerful blue cheese is not for the faint hearted, but then not many cheeses would be a worthy partner to whisky. The sharp acidity & meaty vegetal flavours are truly Scottish in every way, & this cheese is best eaten right at the end of the meal as its flavours are quite overpowering.
