Laudani Citrus

LAUDANI CITRUS from the heart of Sicily

It’s the last crop of the season so be quick.  We are selling the fruit in the shops and also making marmalades with the oranges and lemons combined with Seville oranges.

Laudani is a family farm based between the Simeto river and the foot of Mount Etna.  The alluvial soil gives a particular mineral element to agriculture and you can taste it in the fruit.  They don’t use waxes or chemicals and the use of modern sustainable rural development such as the latest generation irrigation systems to eliminate hydric waste and using photovoltaic panels for production of clean energy ensures 100% natural cultivation and conservation techniques.  How do they work without pesticides?  By using nature, they fight harmful insects and parasites with the preventive use of benevolent insects which are released into the fields at opportune moments.

Because these fruits are absolutely free of any waxes or pesticides their peel is more fragile and will bloom quicker.  So we urge you to eat them as you buy and not store them.  Enjoy them at their best right now and taste a fruit that no supermarket can equal.

The Laudani family follow the ideals of Sustainability, Freshness and Transparency.  Enjoy the last crop of the season, and and be sure to stock up on marmalades we’ve made too. As once they're gone, they're gone until next year!
