Product information:

We have curated an Alpine selection that takes in some of the most interesting cheeses from the French and Swiss Alps; great areas for skiing and enjoying mountain scenery.  We've included our signature cheese, Beaufort Chalet d'Alpage, which started Patricia's journey into the world of artisan cheeses, the traditions and the land that makes them so special.

The wines from alpine regions are perfect to accompany the board, and their fresh acidity with great depth of taste profiles give a concentrated yet complementing pairing for the equally full bodied and fruity style of the cheeses.  We have paired the board with Jean-Francois Quenard's Anne Sophie Roussette red wine.

DELIVERY AVAILABLE FROM 5 DECEMBER 2025

CHEESE

  • Frontine D'Alpage | La Plagne, Savoie, Unpasteurised Cow's Milk - (200g). Frontine is a name and make/affinage process that has been revived from research into Savoie's dialect and history. The milk comes from cows grazed in a particular alpine pasture called La Chiape. It is the highest altitude cheese in the Savoie.
  • Beaufort D'Alpage | Savoie, Unpasteurised Cow's Milk - 1 unit (200g). The raison d'être of La Fromagerie. A classic high mountain cheese from small traditional producers selecting cheeses from the summer milk forms, made and matured at high altitudes in mountain chalets. The flavours are lovely – with an almost sweet almond nuttiness, the taste is never abrasive on the tongue, even with aged cheeses.
  • Vacherin Mont D'Or | Switzerland, Cow, Pasteurised (1 unit - approx 400g). Meltingly rich with a clotted cream taste, this washed rind cheese is only available from October until March.
