Everyone gets very excited at the prospect of two long bank holiday weekends in May. With that in mind, we have curated a lovely board for you to enjoy over the long leisurely weekends with family and friends:

CHEESE

  • St. Domnin Lavande | Alpes Hautes Provence, Unpasteurised Goat's Milk - 1 unit (160g). The spirit & taste of Provence comes through with this unctuous flaky textured goat cheese with a sprig of lavender on top. Southern Rhone & Provencal red wines have hints of violets & cherry so why not serve with this cheese. A lovely addition to summer plates as these cheeses are seasonal.
  • Pelardon | Cevennes,  Unpasteurised Goat's Milk - 1 unit (60g). A thick, medallion-shaped soft cheese with a natural white rind that, with maturing, becomes dotted with blue moulds. A traditional farmhouse cheese with gentle goaty, nutty tastes and a fudgy texture.
  • Ticklemore | Totnes, Devon, Unpasteurised Goat Milk (200g). The flaky pate has tiny eyelet holes scattered throughout and the taste is fresh, light and gentle, with a predominant undertone of almonds pervading.
  • Highmoor | Oxfordshire, Pasteurised Cow's Milk. 1 unit (300g) - Organic Cow’s milk from family farm. This brine-washed rind cheese is in the style of a Normandy Pave d’Auge.
  • Bleu D'AuvergneAuvergne, Pasteurised Cow's Milk  - 200g. The moist, nutty flavour and beautiful melting quality of the cheese also makes it a perfect medium for cooking, crumbling over salads and steaks and vegetable dishes or stuffing into poultry. An extremely versatile cheese, notably simpatico on a cheese board.
