A taste of fruit and honey is the link to this Northern Italian cheese and wine board.  The Gavi di Gavi and Barbera d'Alba wines are full bodied with juicy fresh acidity and velvety stone fruits;  perfect for pairing with cheese

The selection of cheese has something really special, a Robiola goat cheese wrapped in fig leaves to give a wonderful vanilla/almond taste to the richness of the cheese;  it is truly delicious.  An alpine Fontina, Taleggio, and finishing with Gorgonzola Naturale with its steely threads of blue spreading through the rich buttery cheese making this cheese board scented, earthy and buttery.  The addition of truffle honey will add an extra dimension as Piemontese truffles are world famous.

CHEESE

  • Robiola in Foglie | Piemonte, Goat, Unpasteurised (1 unit). Small, artisan production where the cheeses are wrapped in either fig leaves, chestnut leaves or vine leaves depending on the season.
  • Fontina | Aosta, Cow, Unpasteurised, Organic (250g).  Full flavoured from unpasteurised, organic milk. The texture is semi-hard in the mountain Gruyère style.
  • Taleggio della Val Brembana | Lombardy, Cow, Unpasteurised (250g) | The texture is creamy, with a rich, melting quality that is not too salty, but has a lovely floral flavour. 
  • Gorgonzola Naturale | Lombardy, Cow, Pasteurised (250g) | A rich, fruity and sappy blue cheese with earthy aromas.

  • Gavi di Gavi | Piedmont, Roberto Sarotto
  • Barbera d’Alba Superiore | Piedmont, Ressia
