We have created a cheese board that represents the six countries taking place in the Six Nations Rugby Tour that is taking place now until 14 March. We have chosen a delcious cheese from each country playing in the tournament. Tuck into a delicious board of cheese while you cheer on your favourite team!

CHEESES

  • Yr Afr | Bethseda, Wales, Goat, Unpasteurised - 1 unit (80g). Yr Afr translates to "The Goat".  Hailing originally from Lancashire, the cheesemakers now call North Bethesda home. They work with a few local herds for their raw goat’s milk. The cheese is unique in that it leans into a bigger, much more rustic profile; similar to some of the French heavyweights. One for those prefer their cheese with a little bit of attitude.
  • Corra Linn |  Lanarkshire, Unpasteurised Ewe's Milk (200g).  This cheese has been created in the style of Manchego. Named after the highest waterfall in the picturesque Clyde Falls, the unique vegetal flavours come through with a hint of earthy sweetness redolent of wild strawberries. A natural affinity to single malt whisky.
  • Templegall County Cork. Unpasteurised Cow's Milk (200g). Alpine style cheese, with the closest comparison being a traditional Gruyere or Comte. Sweet, nutty flavours mingled with fruit giving a delicate richness to the cheese, which pairs beautifully with white wines. ALLERGEN: protein Lysozyme. EGG is part of the rind.
  • Epoisses | Burguny, Pasteurised's Cow's Milk (1 unit - 250g). Such a rarity that we only get a small quantity but this farm is the last single herd production of an pasteurised milk Epoisses in the Cote d’Or.  The rich Montbeliarde and Brune d'Alpes herd of 70 are pasture grazed with the addition of fresh hay in the lean colder months. The cheeses are washed in Marc de Bourgogne for 29 days to give a ‘juicy’ finish on the rind. Rich, mellow & utterly delicious. Something to savour.
  • Taleggio | Bergamo, Pasteurised Cow's Milk (200g). The texture is creamy, with a rich, melting quality that is not too salty, but has a lovely sappy floral flavour. 
  • Colston Bassett Stilton |  Nottingham, Pasteurised Cow's Milk (200g).  Deep & richly textured pasteurised cow’s milk blue. Introducing the blue at a slightly later stage in order that the cheese itself can have a little kick-start in maturing before the veins thread their way through imparts a delightful spicy blue tang which is nutty & rich.
