To celebrate St Patrick's Day on 17 March this year, we have curated a lovely Irish cheeseboard featuring four delicious Irish cheeses. For a cheese and wine version of this board click here.

CHEESES

  • Karst | Inagh, County Clare. Unpasteurised Goat's Milk - 1 unit. A light and creamy goat's cheese with delicious citrus notes.
  • Temple Gall | County Cork. Unpasteurised Cow's Milk - 200g.  Sweet, nutty flavours mingled with fruit giving a delicate richness to the cheese, which pairs beautifully with white wines. ALLERGEN: Protein Lysozyme. EGG is part of the rind.
  • Durrus | County Cork, Pasteurised Cow's Milk (200g) - A semi-soft washed & brushed pinky beige crust, low in fat from using morning milk only. Rather crumbly & creamy in the centre with the edges mellow & melting. A few tiny eyelets scatter the cheese, & the taste is nutty with a little rustic earthiness from the use of copper Swiss style vats.
  • Cashel Blue | Tipperary. Pasteurised Cow's Milk (200g). Made by Louis & Jane Grubb, the milk comes entirely from their own herd of Friesian cattle. The creamy rich texture is well marbled with nutty blue moulds which, with effective maturing in the coolest part of the cellar with high humidity, they start to gently ooze and melt, giving this cheese a very satisfying and enjoyable taste.
