Product information:

Experience a La Fromagerie cheese tasting from the comfort of your own home with our pre-recorded tutorial. We will send you a cheese box containing five cheeses and email you a video link. Max Melvin, our Senior Cheesemonger, will talk you through the cheeses we have selected and why they are particularly good at this time of year. A great way to spend an evening or connect friends and family, or work colleagues working remotely.

At approx 400g of cheese this is enough for 2-3 people to enjoy. You can always add a extra cheese to make it a more generous tasting.

The Cheese Box will contain:

  • 5 x 80g (approx.) of Farmhouse Cheeses (unless small individual unit)
  • Packet of Biscuits for Cheese
  • Set of Tasting Notes

CHEESES

  • St Jude | Suffolk, Unpasteurised Cow's Milk - 1 unit (100g). Made by Julie Cheyney in Suffolk, the milk is slowly and gently turned into curds with little intervention. Simply lifting the curds and ladling into moulds, turning daily until ready for sale. The flavours of the pasture are intact giving the cheese an earthy richness becoming more evident as it ages.
  • Yarlington | Gloucestershire. Pasteurised Cow's Milk. Half a  unit (125g). A delicate soft washed rind styled cheese, which is brushed in Yarlington Mill Cider.
  • Redlap | Darmouth, Unpasteurised Goat Milk (80g) Lovely fresh tangy taste to this crumbly textured cheese wtih its brine washed ring adding a mellow fruity finish.
  • L'Etivaz | Pays d'Enhaut, Switzerland, Unpasteurised Cow’s Milk (80g). Produced in traditional manner in copper vats over an open fire. During the summer & early autumn the cattle graze on more than 130 alps between the glaciers of Les Diablerets & the vineyards of Lake Geneva. The cheeses are matured in a modern cellar in the village of Etivaz. All the cheese making is done in mountain chalets, giving the cheese a truly complex fruity, rich & buttery taste.
  • Lanark Blue | Lanarkshire, Unpasteurised Sheep's Milk (80g) - Humphrey Errington’s powerful blue cheese is not for the faint hearted, but then not many cheeses would be a worthy partner to whisky. The sharp acidity & meaty vegetal flavours are truly Scottish in every way, & this cheese is best eaten right at the end of the meal as its flavours are quite overpowering.
