Product information:

We have curated a selection of five delicious French cheeses that taste wonderful at this time of year:

  • Chabichou | Poitou-Charentes. Unpasteurised Goat's Milk. 1 unit - 150g. A soft, fresh tasting cheese, shaped like a gently tapered cylinder. The texture is smooth yet quite close-textured. Produced traditionally with a lovely aromatic rind.

  • Triple Creme  | Cousance-les-Triconville, Pasteurised Cow's Milk - 1 unit (550g) -a triple cream cheese lightly covered with a bloomy rind. The cheese is rich and silky on the palate.

  • Ossau Iraty | Pyrenees, Unpasteurised Ewe's Milk, 200g. Handmade mountain cheese made by a small isolated community. Semi-hard cheese with a brine rubbed crust. A firm yet supple cheese, in that the hard crust holds within a cheese which crumbles & breaks down on impact & with a complexity of tastes that tingle on the tongue.

  • Epoisses | Burgundy, Pasteurised's Cow's Milk (1 unit - 250g). Such a rarity that we only get a small quantity but this farm is the last single herd production of an pasteurised milk Epoisses in the Cote d’Or.  The rich Montbeliarde and Brune d'Alpes herd of 70 are pasture grazed with the addition of fresh hay in the lean colder months. The cheeses are washed in Marc de Bourgogne for 29 days to give a ‘juicy’ finish on the rind. Rich, mellow & utterly delicious. Something to savour.

  • Bleu d'Auvergne | Auvergne, Pasteurised Cow's Milk. 200g. The moist, nutty flavour and beautiful melting quality of the cheese also makes it a perfect medium for cooking, crumbling over salads and steaks and vegetable dishes or stuffing into poultry.
