AN AFTERNOON TEA WORKSHOP & TASTING
HOSTED BY JAMEEL LALANI

Friday 28 August 2026 Time 3 – 5pm

On Bank Holiday Weekend join us for a very special Tea Tasting with Jameel Lalani of LALANI TEAS exploring four exceptional teas.

When tea is like fine wine to be paired with cheese and dishes that enhance, reveal and change your viewpoint.  From green, to black to Matcha each with their inherent characteristics bringing a new thinking to your daily 'cuppa'.
La Fromagerie & Lalani have had a long and enjoyable relationship around tea and cheese. From tutorials introducing cheese and tea pairings, to more adventurous food pairings.  What is so interesting to Patricia, for instance, is how the Imperial Black imparts not a sweetness but an essence of the bitter honey you sense in Chestnut and Oak honeys.  The teas have tannins just like wine giving us a huge burst of flavour sensations, especially when partnered with the cheeses and dishes we have devised for the event.
We can't wait to share the experience with you.

Saemidori Kabusecha 2026
Spring Dawn Darjeeling 1st Flush 2026
Imperial Black 2025
Matcha Gold
Jameel will be talking about the processes of growing, harvesting & the brewing rituals of each of the teas.

LA FROMAGERIE Cheese Board
Sariette de Banon, Montgomery Cheddar, July 25, Blu di Virente
